Sentinyl

Sentinyl grew out of Sensyrtech, the industrial-IoT company I co-founded. We were already deep in oil, gas, and manufacturing plants, watching skilled technicians spend half their day hunting through binders of work orders, process documentation, and standard operating procedures just to do a repair right.

Then GPT launched, and we knew immediately it was the future. The question was obvious: how do we point this at the floor? So we built an intelligent chat system that could ingest a plant's work orders, process docs, and SOPs, and then actually teach a technician how to do the job, in plain language, at the moment they needed it. A single pane of glass for maintenance, with an AI that had read every manual.

We shut it down in late 2023 over scalability and customization cost, but it was one of the earliest serious attempts I saw to put a language model to work in heavy industry, and it shaped how I've built with AI ever since. You can still see it at getsentinyl.com.
